It's Here. Run Your Whole Trucking Office by Asking.
Two weeks ago we wrote that something big is coming, and that we wouldn't say what it was until you could see it working. You can now.
Strivie TMS now works inside Claude and ChatGPT. Ask a question the way you'd ask the person at the next desk — which truck is running late, who hasn't paid us, why a driver's check is short — and the answer comes from your own company's data, with the loads, invoices and settlements behind it. Ask for something to be done, and it's prepared exactly as it will happen. You press Approve. Then it's done.
Not a chatbot bolted onto a TMS. Your whole TMS, one question away.
One Day, Five Questions
The 51-second film under this post follows one trucking company through a day. Every answer and every approval in it is a real Strivie screen, recorded on a demo company.
- 6:30 AM. The morning briefing is already waiting: three loads are running late.
- "Which truck is running late?" The answer names the truck, where it is right now, its ETA against the delivery window, and the broker on the load. The update to the broker is drafted. One approval, and it's sent.
- "Who hasn't paid us?" Three brokers past 30 days, $13,280 in total, none reminded yet. A reminder for each is prepared, with the whole email shown before it goes. Approve, and each one is sent and logged on its invoice.
- "Anything off with fuel?" One fill stands out: 182 gallons the truck's GPS never confirmed at the pump. The card goes on hold — once you approve it.
- "Why is his check short?" A slow week, not a deduction problem, with the loads and the math to show it. Then the week's settlements are locked.
- "Pull T-101 off the road." The truck is marked out of service.
By 3:00 PM the day is done. Five questions. Five approvals.
What "Strivie MCP" Means
MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is the open standard AI assistants use to plug into other software. Claude and ChatGPT both speak it. We built Strivie's MCP connection for the whole TMS, not a corner of it: dispatch and loads, billing and collections, payroll and settlements, fuel, fleet and repairs, safety and compliance, recruiting and onboarding, email, chat and phone. More than 500 actions in all.
There are no commands to learn and no forms to fill in. You ask, the AI picks the right look-ups in Strivie, reads what comes back, and answers. If you work for more than one company on Strivie, one connection reaches all of them, and the AI asks which company you mean. If your company runs two carriers under one roof, it asks which carrier before it does anything.
Nothing Changes Until You Approve It
This is the part we spent the most time on. The AI can look things up on its own. Anything that changes your company's records or sends a message on your behalf waits for you.
When you ask for a change — email a broker, record a payment, lock payroll, put a truck out of service — the AI proposes it. The exact change lands in Strivie under the bell as an AI request: which records, what changes from what to what, the amounts, and the full text of any email or message, recipients included. You open it in Strivie, signed in as yourself, at your desk or on your phone, and press Approve or Decline.
- One request, one run. It runs once, and it expires after 30 minutes.
- Stale means stopped. If the record changed after the AI prepared the request — someone edited the load, the invoice got paid — Strivie marks it stale and runs nothing. The AI prepares it again from the new data.
- Approving inside the chat is your company's call. It's off until an admin turns it on.
It Works as You. Never More.
The AI doesn't get its own all-access account. It connects through your Strivie login — your password, your two-step code, your IP approval — and you press Allow on your own company's Strivie sign-in page. From then on it sees exactly what your login sees. If you can't open the Payroll page, the AI gets no payroll tools.
- You choose the access. Read only, or read and prepare changes for you to approve.
- Outside text stays data. Broker emails, notes and driver messages reach the AI labelled as outside content, so a line buried in an email can't give it orders.
- Passwords never pass through it. Not yours, and not the logins and keys Strivie stores for your integrations.
- Everything is logged. Who asked, what was approved, by whom and when.
- You can end it any time. From My Profile in Strivie, from your admin's list of AI connections, or from the AI app itself. Changing your Strivie password ends every AI connection on your login.
Where It Stops
- It's still an AI. It can misread a question. That's why every change is shown to you exactly before it happens, and why the numbers in its answers come from Strivie's records, not from its memory.
- The screens aren't going anywhere. Every page in Strivie works the way it did yesterday. Asking is another way in, not a replacement.
- You bring the AI. You need your own Claude or ChatGPT plan that supports connectors.
How to Connect
- Your admin turns it on in Admin Panel → Features → AI Agent Connector, and gives your login the "Use an AI agent" permission.
- You add Strivie to your AI app as a custom connector with one address: https://connect.strivie.io/mcp. Claude and ChatGPT use the same one.
- You sign in on your own company's Strivie login, choose what the AI may do, and press Allow. Then ask your first question.
The full AI connector setup guide covers ChatGPT, Claude Code, what the AI never sees, and troubleshooting.
We said no trucking company had seen anything like it. Watch the film below and decide for yourself. If you're on Strivie, ask your admin to switch it on. If you're not yet, book a demo and ask it something yourself.
